Using and Planting

Uses of Katsuratree

Katsuratrees are really best suited as specimens in a special place in your home landscape. They do not make good street trees.

Planting Katsuratree

Plant this tree in the spring if possible. The tree has a shallow root system and may be hard to transplant later. Katsuratree grows best in a sunny exposure and in a moist soil, but it is considered drought-tolerant once established. It is not suited for compacted soil since the shallow roots will be a nuisance for lawn and sidewalk maintenance. For more information see the file on Planting A Tree
