Individual full-sized crape myrtle trees make standout specimen trees in the middle of the yard. In very spacious yards, mass them for the same effect. Plant crape myrtles in rows for hedges, or as screens along borders. Certain varieties--`Acoma', `Hopi', `Pecos',` Zuni', Crape myrtlettes--are ideal for containers on decks or patios.
