Question From: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States
Q: I have a large bed of Ajuga which has a patch where the leaves seem to be eaten leaving only the stems. Is this due to insect infestation or another form of disease?
Sounds like you may have slugs. Check with a flashlight at night. A product containing iron phosphate, sprinkled on the ground starting in spring will take care of them. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
