Arborvitae Are Brown From Ground Up To Thee Feet After Harsh Winter

Question From: Cicero, New York, United States
Q: After the bad winter my arborvitae's are brown from ground up 3 feet

Sadly there isn't much you can do except be sure the soil they are in stays moderately moist. There may be some regeneration - only time will tell. If there is no green by mid summer you will have to remove the dead branches and decide if the arbs are worth saving. Best Nancy
