Question From: Oceanport, New Jersey, United States
Q: Hi Nancy, I planted Abervittias about 2 years ago. I notice that 3 of them are turing a lighter green or brown. I line in New Jersey and its just starting to be cold not sure what i can do. Thanks Charlie
A: If the yellowing or browning is in the interior of the shrub, it's Mother Nature at work. It may be more severe this year due to the heat and drought. If the entire shrub is yellowing you have a problem and it could be several issues, so I suggest you have them looked at by a professional, a certified arborist. To find one in your area go to www.tcia.org and enter your zip code. Do keep the shrubs watered until the ground begins to freeze. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
