Arborvitae Branches Dying From Trunk Side Out

Question From: B. Tatman - Damascus, Oregon, United States
Q: Nancy, We live in Oregon, We have an Arborvitaes row next to a gravel driveway. The arborvitaes' branches are starting to die from the trunk side out. the tips are still green. Is there something I can do to fix this problem and it is the beginning of Fall.

I recommend you have a certified arborist do an onsite inspection. A bad guess sight on seen could cost you the lot. That the tips are green is good news. Arbs loose needles for many reasons. Lack of sun may be one and lack water is another. Get them checked out. Replacement is big big bucks. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
