Q: A couple of years ago u wrote about grafted tomatoes. Are they really worth the extra cost and do u have any recommendations on a source to purchase them from? Enjoy your column and the tips.
A: Thank you for the kind words. Due to their price, the grafted tomatoes did not sell well at independent garden centers that I frequent. If you Google grafted tomato plants for sale you will find many mail order sources. I don't grow the kinds of tomatoes available in grafted form so I have no experience with them. Commercial growers continue to graft plants so it must be worth their while to spend the time and money. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
