Are Slugs Killed With Dish Soap Poisonous To Birds

Question From: h. gingras - MASSACHUSETTS
Q: Hi Nancy, Ants were chomping on a retaining wall on the downhill side of our house - I saw wood crumbs. I put out Amdro ant poison, and then it rained, unexpectedly. The next day LOTS of slugs were on the retaining wall, at the bottom and near cracks. I picked them up with a plastic fork and put them in a bucket with dish lotion, then threw away in brush. Would these slugs be poisonous to birds?

Not to worry if you used dish soap. Chances are the birds will not find them good eats. Best and Happy Yardening, Nancy
