Bearberry Plant Leaves Are Turning Brown And Berries Are Shrivelling

Question From: A. Henry - Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
Q: My Bearberry plant leaves are now turning brown, and drying up. The berries are becoming shrivelled. It has late afternoon sun and lives in a big pot on my balcony. I moved it a few days ago to have less sun. Night temperature drops to about 7 to 11C now in late August. There are no bugs on the plant. The soil has always been kept moist. Bought it after Canada Day so have had nearly 2 months.

A: My guess is excessive heat and lack of sun. Take photos of the plant (closeups) to an independent garden center or nursery that sells these plants for a more accurate ID. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
