Bee Balm Plant Looks Dull And Dried Up

Question From: J. Johnson - MAINE
Q: My bee balm has looked great for years but now it has a dried up dull looking flower to it. Not very pretty. Any help you can offer.

A: A couple things come to mind. These plants should be divided every three years. Second, they prefer moist soil so in high heat and drought they suffer. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
