Begonia Stalks Are Completely Red Below The Top

Question From: S. Johnson - PENNSYLVANIA
Q: My begonia stalks are completely red except at the top. When I got it I had rescued it from an aldi and it was pretty much dead. I cleaned it up, changed the soil, and watered it. It has grown pretty big but the stalks have turned completely red and it barely flowers. When it does flower the petals and leaves are barely hanging on to the plant. A stiff breeze will knock them off. Any input or information on my poor plant baby would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

A: Not knowing the variety of the plant, the location, and how you have cared for it, I can't make any suggestions. Take a photo of the plant to a garden center or nursery that sells these plants for advice. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
