Birch Tree Trunk Is Circumscribed By Many Borer Holes And Large Limbs Are Drooping

Question From: Salem, Oregon, United States
Q: Birch tree trunk circumscribed by multiple borer holes and the 30 foot tree limbs are all drooping badly. I didn't recognize the infestation until reading some of your answers and diagnosis in your Yardener. Is the tree salvageable or should I take it out and start anew?

Probably it's time to start anew. Trees never recover from that type of damage, so it's a matter of time. Best Nancy
