Q: We have a clump birch (white). There was 2 trunks. One broke off in a storm. Can we stake the the tree and gently pull the living one straighter?
A: If it was not damaged ( cracked) it should survive. You may also get some suckering. Cut them away as soon as they emerge. Also, keep the soil around the tree moist until it freezes. Good Luck Nancy and Happy Yardeining.
