Question From: P. Patsarikas - Califon, New Jersey, United States
Q: I have bonsai plants that scale and I have used an organic pesticide and I cannot get rid of them. I have lost over 90% of the leaves. What can I do?
A: I use a product called AzaMax that contains azadirachtin from the neem tree. It's expensive, but it works and is OMRI listed and can be used on certified organic gardens. You can buy it online or at hydroponic stores. That said, a 90 percent loss of leaves may be mortal. Take pictures of your sad little tree to a nursery or garden center that sells bonsai for a consult. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
