Boxwood Leaf Tips Are Turning Brown

Question From: Clark, New Jersey, United States
Q: had new landscape done with a few boxwoods. some of the tips of the leaves are brown. is that shock or a problem. im watering every day since its july. what can i do? dont want to lose them as they were expensive. thank you

Could have been residual damage from the winter. You're wise to water, but don't overdo. I'd cut back a bit. You want to keep the soil nice and moist, but not sodden. A 3 inch mulch lay of wood chips or pine bark will be helpful. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
