Boxwood Leaves Are White What Should They Be Replaced With

Question From: Monroe, Michigan, United States
Q: Most of the leaves on several 12 year old boxwoods are white. Can they be rejuvenated or should I plan on replacing them with something else? If so, what would you recommend? They face East. Thank you. Sharon Liedel

Sounds like they are toasted. Take photos of your landscape and a soil sample to a couple of garden centers and talk to the shrub specialists. It's best to do this during the week when things are not so hectic. Take your time, you have to live with them for a long time. Many garden centers have landscapers on board that will help you with a new design for no charge if you buy the plants from them.
