Boxwoods Have Small Flying Insects And Are Turning Brown

Question From: Whiteville, North Carolina, United States
Q: I have probably sixteen boxwoods (very nice about 3.5 ft tall and 4 ft across) in the last two weeks some kind of small flying insects have turned them brown like dieing. do you have any suggestions.

A: You can't be the only one with that problem. Take pictures and samples of the damage and visit a garden center or nursery for a more accurate Id and methods of control in your area. The insects may not be what's causing the browning of the leaves. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
