Can Beneficial Nematodes Be Applied Sometime After Diatomaceous Earth Has Been Applied To Soil

Question From: H. Fricker - Oshawa, Ontario, Canada
Q: On your website you discuss beneficial nematodes, and when indicating "What Not To Do", you state: "Do not use diatomaceous earth on the same site as you use predatory nematodes. D.E. will harm predatory nematodes.". Is there a time interval between using diatomaceous earth after which it would be safe to apply nematodes? Or will the diatomaceous earth remain on, or in the soil for a long period of time? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

I can't speak to this issue because there are so many variables. I suggest you contact the company you plan to order the nematodes from. Arbico is an organic company that carries both products. * Sales & Customer Service: 800-827-2847 or (520)-825-9785 Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy*
