Can Dusty Miller With Rotting Stems Be Saved

Question From: B. Evans - Ridgeland, Mississippi, United States
Q: Can rotting Dusty Miller sterms be saved?

The disease is probably Phytophthora, a fungal disease that will live in the soil for several years. For that reason I would remove the dusty miller and the surrounding soil and dispose of it in the trash. Excessive water and fertilizer should be avoided when growing this plant.
