Question From: A. Hyland - CALIFORNIA
Q: Can I feed mockingbirds almonds, walnuts and pecans that are sliced and pre-packaged? I love to see them defend their territory. I also love to hear their chirps. I don't want to hurt them, that is why I am asking if it is safe to feed them this.
A: You could try and see if they eat those nuts. According to this site, you should "only offer raw or roasted nuts without any additional salt or seasonings". The site has lots of useful information and suggestions for feeding nuts to birds (and not to squirrels or others you might not want to feed).
