Can I Leave Unmulched Leaves Under Bushes And Trees And Should They Be Shredded

Question From: B. Fisher - Grosse Pointe, Michigan, United States
Q: Can I leave unmulched leaves under bushes, deciduous and evergreen trees that border my back yard? What about in my white garden, should I clean that out or leave the leaves till spring? Thank you.

You can leave the unmulched leaves under trees and shrubs. The decision to clean out your white garden is up to you. Shredding the leaves is your best bet. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
