Can I Order Digiplexis-Illumination Flame In Zone 6

Question From: G. KING - Livonia, Michigan, United States
Q: I read your article in homestyle about Digiplexis-Illumination Flame. I went on Burpees web site and they said they are for Zones 8-10. As far as I know we are in zone 6. Can I still order them?

George, they are grown as an annual here in Michigan. Not cheap but they gave a hell of a show. I bought mine at Telly's in Troy and Wojo's in Oxford. English Gardens will probably carry them. Also try Steinkopf's in Farmington. Let your fingers do the walking. These plants require 8 to ten weeks of vernalization (50 degrees of cold) in order to flower, so as I said in the article buy them in bud or bloom. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
