Can Maple Tree Tolerate Standing Water Or Be Placed Near Sewer Drain

Question From: L. Bartsch - MICHIGAN
Q: Can regal petticoat handle standing water in spring? Would be planted near a sewer drain.

Most trees resent standing water. I wound never recommend planting a tree next to a storm drain. They will clog the pipe with roots causing a huge headache. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
