Can Marigolds Be Planted In Window Boxes With Only Morning Sun

Question From: Appleton, Wisconsin, United States
Q: I have window boxes facing the east with sun exposure only in the morning. Can I plant marigolds in these boxes or not? Thanks much!

A: I grow roses in that exposure and they do fine. They need 4 hours of sun. Give them a try. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
