Question From: CONNECTICUT
Q: can oak leaf hydrangea leaves be cut in the fall when they are beautifully colored to place in dried arrangements? will the leaves preserve for a while or will they shrivel and dry up immediately?
A: Prune the oak leaf hydrangea now and you will cut off the buds that produce next year's blooms. The leaves will shrivel. Remove the flower clusters by cutting them off at the base. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
