Can Shrubs Be Planted In August

Question From: MICHIGAN
Q: Is it OK to plant Alberta Spruce shrubs in the month of August? I read somewhere that you should not plant shrubs in August.

I'm not a fan of planting in August. It's tough for plants to become established in hot, dry weather. Also do not fertilize shrubs for the first year after planting. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
