Carrots Are White

Question From: M. Carney - MAINE
Q: We have a friend that planted carrots this year (never had a problem before) and their carrots are "White". We went out to check our carrots and low and behold, our carrots are "White". What in the world is going on. They have good green tops and are not crowed. When I thinned them out they were nice and orange. Now they are "White". Any suggestions.

Carrots now come in a variety of colors in addition to orange. Purple, yellow and white. You and your neighbor may have unwittingly planted them either by accident or someone is having fun with you. So eat and enjoy them. Happy Yardening, Nancy
