Cedar Logs Used For Fence Have Small Holes And Yellow Substance Like Cracked Glue

Question From: A. Flores - San Antonio, Texas, United States
Q: Location: San Antonio, TX. We went to our ranch about 50 miles away and cut some cedar logs to make a decorative fence. just 6 months later, the logs have a mustardy colored substance that resembles cracked glue and there are teeny tiny holes around the areas with that substance. What is that and how do we treat?

I suggest you take closeup photos to your local Tractor Supply or country horticultural agent for advice. I am not familiar with insects in Texas. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
