Q: BUMMER CHRYSANTHEMUM DISASTER .. Help please !! I had this great plan last year and i planted 3 tiny mums that were only 8" tall in a triangle hoping they would meld into one big bush . YES!! iT HAPPENED! I cut back early flower buds in the summer, I pinched back monthly till July 4., and watched this thing go wild INTO ONE BIG BUSH! But now here it is October , and the leaves lost their color on ALL 3 and have turned brown..WHAT WENT WRONG?? Help please ... Sincerely , J.

A:

Sounds like lack of water or too much water, possibly combined with too much liquid fertilizer. Most mums did well this year. Best Nancy
