Clematis Leaves Are Dying At Bottom Of Plant And Other Leaves Have Black Spots

Question From: Summerville, South Carolina, United States
Q: I have a clematis plant that on the bottom of the plant the leaves are dying and some of the other leaves have black spots on them but the plant is still flowering. Can you tell me how I can save this plant from dving completely.

Treat the plant with a fungicide according to package directions. Your garden center will recommend a product that will work for you. Planting clematis deep will help fend off this disease. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
