Clematis Vine Has Beige Areas Where Leaves Appear Dead

Question From: J. Dalton - Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, United States
Q: One of my clemantis vines has biege areas where the leaves appear to have died. Considering I have several growing on the same fence, what can I use to get rid of this problem in case it would transferto the other vines. I would use a synthetic product rather than loose my other vines.

Jane, The obvious diagnosis is clematis wilt. Go to your local independent garden center and as for a fungicide that is labeled for use on clematis and use according to package directions. Best Nancy
