Question From: b. kelly - Mansfield, Texas, United States
Q: The crepe myrtle in our front yard lost all of its leaves overnight, and the leaves were all still green, now just laying in a pile at the foot of the tree (November 22 in the Dallas TX area, it was in the 50's for a low last night) - I don't remember it ever doing that before. Is that normal?
A: No it's not normal. A sudden cold snap will cause leaf drop, but so will exposure to chemicals. Herbicides for instance. You can wait until spring and see if it leafs out. Just be sure to keep it watered. Best Nancy and thanks for visiting Yardener.com.
