Question From: FLORIDA
Q: my crepe myrtle at the front of the house has sticky stuff all over its leaves.........the two in the back yard do not seem to be sticky, yet!!...help................
A: The sticky stuff is called honey dew and exuded by sucking insects, such as aphids. They are often overlooked as they are small and hang out on the undersides of leaves. A stiff stream of water will dislodge them. An independent garden center will have several products to choose from including organic pesticides. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
