Crepe Myrtle Trees Have Large Brown Spots On Trunk And Branches

Question From: Miami, Florida, United States
Q: I have several crepe myrtle trees that have large brown spots on the trunk and branches. The weather is good for south Florida so I am confused what the problem could be. Thank you in advance.

A: Nona, I live in Michigan and sadly we cannot grow crepe myrtles here. I consider trees to be valuable investments and do not diagnose problems online. If they were my trees I would have an onsite inspection by a trained professional, a certified arborist. To find one in your area go to www.tcia.org. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
