Question From: Grand Prairie, Texas, United States
Q: I have been growing cucumbers for a long time and this is the first time that I don't have any blossoms on the plants. The plants are growing vertically up a cage like I do every year at this time they are about 4 ft. up the cage but no blossoms. Normally I grow Marketmore 76 but these are pickling cucumbers which I have never grown before what is the difference in the way they are grown
A: Lack of flowers is usually due to too much nitrogen fertilizer and or lack of sun. Cukes need six hours or more a day. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
