Curled Leaves On Boxwood

Question From: Lutherville-Timonium, Maryland, United States
Q: Why do the small green leaves on my boxwood stay so curled after a cold winter. When will they open some?

A: The cupping is caused by an insect known as the Boxwood Psyllid. Horticultural Oil or Insecticidal soap sprayed on new growth should take care of them .
