Question From: C. Green - OREGON
Q: My daffodils, narcissus and tulips hardly bloomed this year, unlike other years when they are plentiful. I don't dig them, so there was nothing new in their environment that I know of. We had a mild winter, so no freeze damage. There doesn't seem to be any insect damage in any of the bulbs I dug up. The tulips in one plot were sparse last year and this year all areas were affected. The info I found suggested too shallow planting, but that is not the case. Thanks for your help.
Carolyn, Your daffs may need dividing. Tulips, especially the hybrids are short lived. Species tulips rebloom best. Here in Michigan we treat hybrids as annuals. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
