Question From: L. - Brookfield, Wisconsin, United States
Q: I have several dahlia plants, some are in more sun than others. All but one plant have flowers that have curled downward but the leaves and rest of the plant looks normal. The soil is not the greatest but I water all of them well. What could be causing this? I have red bark around all of the plants. The previous owner over planted trees, bushes and flowers at out home. We have done our best to replant and clean up the yard but there are some foliage that have come through and I don't know if its a weed or a bush? How does one tell the difference?
A: It is not abnormal for the buds of dahlias to face down. Your best bet is to get a book on weeds in North American. Search Amazon for a selection. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
