Question From: S. Mihalik - MICHIGAN
Q: Is it rare for a gerber daisy to have two sides be completely different color? We have one flower with orange on the right side, yellow on the other side. None of the other flowers on the plant have this. Could that flower’s seeds be used to get more like this? I suspect not. Is this a genetic mutation? If so, does this mutant have super powers? ;0) Regards, Steve
A:
If you purchased the plant from a garden center, you may have two plants in the pot. If you started it from a single seed I can't give you the answer as I am not a horticulturist. I suggest you contact the horticultural department at Michigan State University.
