Daphne Leaves Have All Dried Up And Fallen But Trunk Is Still Supple

Question From: D. Banks - Salt Lake City, Utah, United States
Q: My daphne is not dead, but in the spring all of the leaves dried up and fell off. The trunk is still supple. What do I do?

I'm afraid your Daphne is done for. They need their leaves to produce food. Daphnes are known to up and die for no apparent reason, so don't feel guilty. If you want to replace it I would do a thorough internet search to become more familiar with the plants needs. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
