Q: I bought a home with daylilies - not sure if they are overgrown or old - but last year I picked off the already flowered buds and hoped to have a better flowering season. However this year, they bloomed and then stopped. The leaves are green, then some yellow, and some dried up

A: Daylilies need to be divided or they will cease to bloom. Yours are far overdue. It's a tough job when they are badly overgrown. Good Luck, Nancy
