Daylily Buds Eaten By Deer Will New Buds Form And Bloom This Season

Question From: Slatington, Pennsylvania, United States
Q: Dear Nancy, If a deer eats all the buds off a daylily plant early in the season, will that plant form new buds and bloom before the season is over? thank you for your help!

Sadly, some of the newer daylilies will form new scapes, others will not. Sorry for your loss. I sprayed my daylily plants with PlantSkydd and so far so good. Must be reapplied every six weeks or so, depending on the amount of rain. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
