Do All Densa Inkberry Shrubs Produce Berries

Question From: D. Fleming - Pawtucket, Rhode Island, United States
Q: I just bought three densa inkberry shrubs and I was told that I do not need a male and female to produce berries. The salesperson said that they all produce berries. Is that correct?

Inkberries are members of the holly family and these shrubs are dioecious. To produce berries you will need male and female plants. Inkberries are natives and you may have some male lurking in the shadows. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
