Q: I have removed a mature Sweet gumball tree and all the surface roots but have found a lot of sinker roots plus a couple large roots under the root ball. Do they need to be removed ? I applied the proper poison on them, will this stop them from growing or should I remove them witch is the direction I was going to go.
A: You should be okay. If you do see some sprouting remove the sprouts asap, which should be easy and soon the roots will die from lack of food. Much easier than digging up roots. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
