Does Azomite Eliminate The Need For Additional Nitrogen Phosphate And Potash

Question From: Buhl, Idaho, United States
Q: if I use say 500 lbs of azomite on my beans corn and wheat , do I still need to use nitrogen and phosphate and potash?

Wayne, Azomite is a trace mineral amendment said to contain over 60 trace minerals. Although it does contain some potash it is not considered a fertilizer. Azomite does not contain the 3 big macros, NPK, so it will not replace fertilizer. You should take a soil test to determine your soil needs.
