Does Japanes Wisteria Lose Leaves In Winter

Question From: K. heath - CALIFORNIA
Q: Does the Japanese wisteria lose it's leaves in winter. My leaves are turning yellow and dropping off, is this normal?

They do so don't sweat the yellowing leaves. What is of concern is this invasive vine will require constant pruning to keep it from eating up your back yard. Do not fertilize it unless you like to prune. Happy Yardening, Nancy
