Question From: B. Hecht - MICHIGAN
Q: i have a medium size pond in my backyard, located under trees and up against a metal cyclone fence. it receives only about 4 hours of full and 2 hours of partial sun light a day. I recently readyour article on Echinacea or "Cheyenne Spirit". Can these be planted in such an area successfully? I would boarder the back side of the pond with these. Thankyou for any help or suggestions you can give me about perennials you provide for me.
Bob, You have enough sun, but this plant's water needs runs from the dry side (once established) to average. Wet soils next to a pond won't do. Best and Happy Gardening, Nancy.
