Edges Of New Growth On Canaan Fir Is Turning Brown

Question From: D. Fortney - PENNSYLVANIA
Q: I have a Canaan Fir that has been planted about 7 years ago. Now the new growth edges have been turning brown last season and this season. Do you know what is causing this? I read an article that said it didn’t have enough water in the winter. So I have been leaving hose I slow trickle all day every 2 weeks. I don’t know what to do. Does it have a disease? Thank you for your help!

David I don't have a crystal ball. I recommend you have it inspected by a certified arborist. To find one in your area go to TCIA.org and enter your zip code in the "find a professional" box. Best Nancy
