Question From: Frederick, Maryland, United States
Q: We have two emerald green arborvitaes used as foundation plantings in front of our house. One of them suddenly looks like it is dying. It is limp looking & has dropped a lot of green needles all around it. The top looks ok but the bottom third is extremely limp looking. We see no evidence of any insects & the foliage is not brown or yellow. I received both of them for Mothers Day from our son so I would really like to know if we can save it! Thank You
A: I recommend you have the trees inspected by a certified arborist, a trained tree doctor. Anything I would suggest would just be a guess and a wrong guess could cost you the tree and maybe both of them. There is no way of me telling what the issue or issues may be. Good Luck and Happy Yardening, Nancy.
