English Ivy Has White Vines With No leaves

Question From: E. Flood - PENNSYLVANIA
Q: English ivy now has long white vines with no leaves on the vines. What should I do?

Take photos and cuttings of the vines to a good independent garden center. It sounds like winter kill but I don't have a crystal ball. If you cut the dead vines back to live wood cover the surface of the soil with an inch or so of quality compost and eep the soil moist, they should show new growth. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
